Eric Lazar is a guitarist/singer/songwriter based in Oregon. He is a Musicians Institute graduate, guitar teacher and a former student at the Conservatory of Music at the University of The Pacific. Lyrically, his songs are about history, politics, social commentary, the future, current events and general emotions. 
    Eric's influences include 60's/70's Classic/Rock, Americana, traditional Blues and Country, Alt Rock, Folk Rock. His bands have included Xenogenic, The Mere Mortals, The New Natives, Fatcat, Oakbottom, Lightning Hand and Homegrown Sounds. 
     He has been a part of at least 11 studio albums with various bands/projects. His songs have been used in movies such as "The Bill Collector", TV/radio spots like the Phoenix Zoo, used as background music for commercials in Oregon/Washington and other random commercial DVD projects. His bands over the years have opened or played before Journey, ZZ Top, Mumbo Gumbo and David Gans.
     Eric has written over 200 songs spanning many genres. He has 5 albums(all Eric Lazar) of Rock'n'Roll up on the web, including Lick & A Promise, Revolving Doors, Catharsis, Relics, Impulses. Also 1 acoustic album titled Pegleg Rides Again! and an Electronic Rock album of instrumentals under the name Heliosphere.
     He currently writes background music for various projects including television, film, commercials, radio spots and other media outlets.
